Instruments for iPad and your DAW

Instruments that show you the sound

Wiregrove makes music tools where the picture is the instrument. A physical modeling synth that draws every resonance. A sequencer that turns rhythm into rings. Coming to iPad and your DAW. On your rack, someday.

Rosin

A physical modeling synthesizer. Bow, blow or strike a virtual body, then watch every mode of its resonance as a living constellation. Frequency runs left to right, decay bottom to top. What you see is what rings.

01
Three exciters. Bow, blow and strike are three ways to excite the body. Blend them to shape the attack.
02
The field. Every active mode of the body renders as a dot you can read: frequency across, decay up.
03
Instrument or FX. Play it with MIDI, or route host audio in and let your tracks become the exciter.
04
Perform mode. A full-screen touch surface for playing Rosin directly is still in development. COMING SOON

Epicycle

A generative sequencer for iPhone and iPad. Eight tracks of Euclidean rhythm drawn as rings: dot size is velocity, opacity is probability, the playhead is the clock. Roll a seed, lock what you like, and let the rest keep moving.

01
Seeds, not presets. Every pattern comes from a shareable seed like EP-4K7Q. Same seed, same groove, every time.
02
Lock the good parts. Per-track loop lock freezes what works while Random keeps reshuffling the rest.
03
Polymeter by default. Eight tracks, each with its own length. 16 against 12 against 10 is one tap away.
04
Plays your gear. MIDI out to hardware and apps, plus scenes for quantized arrangement.

Epicycle plays. Rosin rings.

Point Epicycle's MIDI at Rosin and the rings drive the body. Notes light the voice ribbon, and both screens speak the same visual language. Two apps, one instrument.

COMING SOON

iPad apps and iPhone sequencer

Rosin is built for iPad with full multi-touch; Epicycle runs on iPhone and iPad. Every control keeps a 44 point hit target. We will announce here when they are ready.
